The Graduate ShowContinues until 24th February 2008The Annual Graduate Show is to become a regular feature of The Gallery at Bevere's exhibition schedule. Our intention is to provide an opportunity for new and emerging artists to show their work in a gallery context - which for many will be a new experience - and to demonstrate that there is an abundance of new and emerging talent in the applied arts. 2007 was an exceptional year. We are not promoting them as the best of the 2007 crop of graduates from the English art and design schools; nevertheless, we believe that our exhibitors are amongst the best of their year. The graduates that we have selected evoked an immediate response. They each have a distinct voice which demonstrates skill and artistic vision. We also believe that they have a professional future. For all of these graduates, selling as well as making their work is a major aspiration. The extent to which the public is prepared to take their appreciation of a work as far as actually buying it, is some of the most important feedback a maker will receive. The work has generated an emotional and/or intellectual response, which the buyer wants to sustain through their ownership. We hope that if you haven't had chance to visit the exhibition yet you will be able to do so in February and that these exhibitors will stimulate you as they have the gallery team - and remember that you saw them here first!
