Additional NotesThe wax casts are all formed into an individual investment mould for lost wax casting into bronze. When cold this is carefully removed and the bronze is hand finished and patinated. The Colour Series are cast in the same way, They are patinated with a different method, the mineral colours are heat treated. Each sculpture is individually worked, they are all different some very different. The ‘one offs’ could be more expensive. For the classically patinated bronze IR Ducks, I have to rebuild the legs, and finish the waxes, so their stances vary.
They are all further polished and numbered by the artist. On some I remove the patina to reveal the bronze on details.
